The MLB bracket 2026 moves into the National League Division Series on Saturday, October 3, with the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers set to host the Wild Card winners. All times are Eastern, and the matchups will be confirmed by Wild Card results.
This viewing guide, reviewed on September 30, 2026, is aimed at fans who want the basics in one place: when the NLDS begins, which teams get home games, and where to watch it on TV. The series is part of the wider MLB postseason picture, with the Wild Card Series due to wrap up by Thursday, October 1.
When the NLDS begins
The National League Division Series starts on Saturday, October 3. That gives the bracket a quick turnaround after the Wild Card round, with the first games arriving just two days after the Wild Card Series ends.
If the series go the distance, Game 5s are scheduled for Friday, October 9. That leaves the bracket tight, with the NLCS set to begin on Sunday, October 11 on FOX or FS1.
Who hosts the opening games?
The Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers are the top seeds in position to host the Wild Card winners. That home advantage is the key storyline at this stage, although the exact matchups will depend on how the Wild Card round finishes.
For viewers, that means the opening weekend should give the Brewers and Dodgers the chance to set the tone on their own turf, while the Wild Card teams have to go straight into hostile territory.
Where to watch the NLDS
The viewing guide points fans to FOX, FS1, FOX Deportes, MLB.TV, DIRECTV and FOX One for coverage of the National League Division Series. Times for games are listed in Eastern Time, but they are subject to change.
The key takeaway is simple: if you are following the MLB bracket 2026, the NLDS starts on Saturday, October 3, and the road to the NLCS begins immediately after the Wild Card round is complete.
