WLOX reports that Gulfport police arrested Marc Samuel Humphrey II and Mackenzie Alexis Humphrey on Thursday in connection with a September shooting into a crowd outside a business in the 500 block of Courthouse Road.
Marc Samuel Humphrey II, 25, and Mackenzie Alexis Humphrey, 22, were each charged with shooting into an assembly or group. Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set each bond at $250,000, and both were jailed in Harrison County.
Courthouse Road in September
Police said the shooting happened after the two argued with people inside the business. The two then went outside, got into a gray vehicle, and fired into a crowd gathered there.
Gulfport police did not identify the business where the argument began. That leaves the location tied to the shooting as the 500 block of Courthouse Road in Gulfport, while the specific place inside the dispute started stays out of the public record.
Albert Fountain set bond
The arrest moves the case from a September investigation into the court process. With both suspects jailed on felony charges and bond set, the next step is the criminal case itself, while the shooting scene remains only partly identified.
Gulfport police also gave a phone number for people with information about the shooting: 228-868-4949. Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers for information was listed at 877-787-5898.
