Bryan Walker Leaves Bryn Walker Clothing Tied to Oakland Case

Bryan Walker and Michelle Min, the founders behind Bryn Walker clothing, were found dead outside their Oakland home on Oct. 2. Oakland police say the case remains active and ongoing.

Paul Min and the 400 block

The bodies were found in the 400 block of Panoramic Way in Oakland. That address places the deaths inside the Oakland Hills area, close to UC Berkeley, and it is now part of a case police are still treating as open.

Paul Min told the Los Angeles Times that he believes Walker fatally shot his sister before turning the gun on himself. He also said Walker was the “most honest, responsible, hardworking guy you have ever known,” a line that captures how sharply the family’s view of him collides with the violence they say they were trying to stop.

Michelle Min’s plan

Paul Min said Walker allegedly lost millions of dollars in risky financial ventures. He also said he and his sister agreed Walker needed psychiatric help after Walker allegedly suggested that the three of them “end things.”

Michelle Min was planning to have her husband admitted for psychiatric treatment on the day of the shooting, her brother told the outlet. That sequence leaves the family describing a rapid collapse in the days before the deaths, while police have not publicly adopted that account.

Oakland police and Bryn Walker

Oakland police have not confirmed the family’s claims about Walker’s mental health, financial losses or a possible motive. For Bryn Walker, that leaves the brand’s founders linked to an active investigation rather than a settled explanation, and customers, employees and business partners are left with a company name now shadowed by an unresolved police case.

The question that still matters is whether investigators will eventually say the shooting was a murder-suicide, as the family believes, or something else entirely. Until police say more, the only hard point is the one already on the record: Bryan Walker and Michelle Min are dead, and the file remains open.
