Jack Lowden drives Slow Horses Lost And Found to Sid Baker's fate

Jack Lowden drives Slow Horses lost and found into its sharpest turn in Season 6, Episode 4, when Sid Baker is sold out and then kidnapped at gunpoint by Jim and Jane. The episode, titled Lost and Found, is streaming on Apple TV now.

Diana Taverner and Sid Baker

Episode 4 centers on a trade that changes the board fast: Diana Taverner agreed that Vassily Rasnokov’s assassins could take out Sid if they agreed to stop killing off the rest of the people in Slough House. That bargain turns Sid from a background piece into the leverage point in a wider cleanup operation.

River told Sid Baker not to trust Diana Taverner, and that warning lands differently once the episode shows how far the deal goes. Sid is then kidnapped at gunpoint by Jim and Jane at the end of the episode, making the negotiation feel less like containment and more like an exchange of lives.

Damien Cantor and the Park

Episode 2 planted the chain reaction when Damien Cantor authorized Frank to kill Reece Nesmith and had the dead Dog Andy Nesmith steal the Slough House file at the Park. Damien also handed the list to his Russian contact, and the GRU used it to retaliate rather than treat it as a closed-file leak.

That is why Episode 4 reads less like a twist and more like the bill coming due. Damien Cantor wanted some sort of contract from the Russians, but he did not direct anyone to start killing Slow Horses from that list; instead, he used Frank as the clean-up crew to cover the tracks of the document theft.

Frank Harkness and Jackson Lamb

Frank Harkness and Jackson Lamb face off in the Shake Shack in Episode 4, while JK Coe fights Jim in a bathroom knife fight to the death. Those two sequences show how the episode pushes every faction toward direct collision, with Diana Taverner and the Park still tied to the same mess.

Oliver had already called the situation a “petri dish of intrigue” in Episode 3, and Episode 4 proves the label was not decorative. River thinks Diana Taverner stole Sid Baker’s identity to make her look responsible on paper for the murder in Kazan, Russia, which keeps the story split between what is documented and what River believes happened.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found is the kind of episode that rewards paying attention to the chain of custody, not just the bodies. If Sid Baker has become the bargaining chip, the real question is who still has control of the file, the list, and the story that follows her kidnapping at gunpoint.
