Luis Cameron, 19, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged in connection with the death of Daniel Colrain after a disturbance in Glasgow city centre. He made no plea and was released on bail to return to court at a later date.

Colrain, 21, was found with serious injuries at about 03:05 on Sunday in Royal Exchange Square in Glasgow. He was taken to hospital and died on Monday.
The Smiddy Bar, where Colrain had worked for more than three years, said: "To know Daniel was to experience his warmth and kindness first hand," and added that he knew regulars by name, chatted with them for hours, and was a beloved presence in the community where he grew up.

Cameron is accused of punching Colrain, causing him to fall and strike his head. He is also accused of trying to pervert the course of justice by booking a flight from Glasgow to Dubai later that day, then going to Glasgow Airport in an attempt to avoid arrest and prosecution.
The charge also says he left the scene and attended Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley, where he allegedly said he had injured his hand by hitting a wall. A second 19-year-old man was previously arrested and released pending further investigation.

Another man, 21, was also assaulted and suffered minor injuries. A 20-year-old man has been charged over that assault and is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
Police inquiries into the disturbance remain under way, and the case now turns on the court process already started against Cameron and the separate charge linked to the second assault.
