Marvel zodiac got its first logo, and Marvel Television said the live-action spy thriller is set for release in 2028. Brad Winderbaum said shooting will begin in London in the spring, with casting starting in the next couple of weeks.
The logo reveal gives the project a concrete identity before cameras roll. It also makes Zodiac the first new live-action show announced for Marvel since Ironheart, which puts the series into a tighter release pipeline than the studio has shown on some of its recent TV swings.
Brad Winderbaum sets the timetable
Winderbaum’s timeline is the part audiences and the industry can actually use. A spring start in London means the production is moving from announcement mode into hiring mode now, and the next couple of weeks should be the point when the cast begins to take shape.
That matters because Marvel Television has been managing a busy slate. Wonder Man premiered in January, was renewed for a second season, and was canceled just a few months later anyway. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II still drew an Emmy nomination for lead actor, and he became the first live-action actor to receive an Emmy nod for both a Marvel and DC series after starring in HBO's Watchmen.
Wonder Man and Born Again
The contrast with Wonder Man is hard to miss. A show that looked extended on paper ended quickly, while Zodiac now arrives with a logo, a release year, and a production window that reaches into spring. For viewers and talent agents, that is a cleaner signal of where Marvel Television is placing its next live-action bet.
Marvel Television has also been reshaping the rest of its TV lane. Daredevil: Born Again is set to end with next year's Season 3, and Season 3 looks to be a reunion for the Netflix Defenders heroes, including Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones.
London and the 2028 lane
The 2028 target gives Zodiac room to build, but it also stretches the wait for the next fresh live-action entry. VisionQuest is set to premiere on Oct. 14, with Paul Bettany back as the robot Vision and the show positioned to cap off the trilogy that began with WandaVision and then Agatha All Along.
Marvel Television has not added story details yet, so the practical read is simple: Zodiac is moving first through branding, then casting, then a spring shoot in London, with 2028 as the release year. The only question that still matters is who will star in Zodiac and what story the spy thriller will follow.
