An ICE agent shot and wounded a man at 2 Marble Hill Ave. in Marble Hill, the Bronx, on Thursday afternoon. The man was taken to a nearby hospital and was conscious and receiving medical attention.
The shooting happened around 4:20 p.m. at the Bronx address, where an agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement fired at a man in a car. The injuries were not life-threatening, according to the NYPD’s account of the incident on X.

At around 4 p.m. Thursday, the NYPD said there was a shooting involving federal law enforcement agents in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx. In the same post, the department said, “The NYPD was not involved in the incident and was not on scene at the time of the shooting.”
The department also said, “The individual who was shot is at a nearby hospital and is currently conscious and receiving medical attention.” That left federal agents at the center of the scene while city police said they had no role in the shooting response.
