Tom Hiddleston Lures Four Avengers: Endgame New Scenes Into Encore

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki shows up at the door in Avengers: Endgame new scenes, and the new version of Avengers Endgame: Encore uses that beat to push the story beyond the 2019 ending. The rerelease adds four short scenes, including a new ending and post-credits footage tied to Avengers: Doomsday.

Four short scenes are now part of Avengers Endgame: Encore, with premium-format presentations carrying one new scene at the end of the film and three more during and after the credits. Some of the new scenes also appear in standard screenings, so the added material is not limited to the format with the biggest screen.

Hiddleston at the door

Tom Hiddleston appears as Loki in the ending beat, knocking at the door and offering to help Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter. The original film closed with Steve Rogers dancing with Peggy Carter after returning to the 1940s, so the new scene changes that closing image from a private reunion into a setup with an outside interruption.

That shift matters because it moves the ending from a sealed-off finale to a doorway for Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel and the Russo brothers are using the new footage as a clue trail, and Kevin Feige is part of how the added material is being framed.

Banner, Doom, and the TVA

Bruce Banner appears in an underground facility, and the new mid-credits scene has Doctor Doom saying he has come to collect him. Robert Downey Jr provides the voice for Doctor Doom, turning the mid-credits tag into a direct handoff from one film to the next instead of a loose teaser.

A second mid-credits scene brings in Mobius, OB and Casey, tying the rerelease back to the Time Variance Authority after the events of Loki season two. The setup keeps the focus on characters already inside Marvel’s multiverse machinery, which is the cleanest way to keep audiences aligned with the next chapter without reopening the whole story.

$2.925bn and Avatar

Last weekend, Avengers Endgame: Encore had brought in another $126m worldwide, lifting its lifetime total to about $2.925bn. Avatar stood at $2.923bn, so the rerelease widened the gap at the top while adding enough fresh footage to make the campaign feel like more than a simple return engagement.

That is the practical read for viewers: the theatrical revisit is not just padding the catalog, but using new scenes to reset the last minutes of Avengers: Endgame around Avengers: Doomsday. The added material makes the ending less final, and the real draw now is seeing how Loki, Bruce Banner and Doctor Doom are being threaded into the franchise’s next move.
