Kentucky Athletics Keeps 7 p.m. ET Game on Schedule — Nashville Weather

Kentucky Athletics said Saturday’s Kentucky football game vs. LSU stays on schedule for 7 p.m. ET despite Nashville weather that is expected to bring rain and wind to parts of the day. Fans heading to Kroger Field are being told to plan for those conditions and to arrive early.

The game-day notice also moves the halftime drone show to a future home game. Kentucky Athletics said fans should allow extra travel time, and those attending both Keeneland and the game can use the Kroger Field-Keeneland shuttle connector.

Kroger Field fan plans

UK Team Shop locations outside Gate 4 and inside Kroger Field throughout the concourses will sell rain gear, including blue ponchos, while supplies last. Umbrellas are allowed, but they may not be opened in the seating area.

Parking and traffic plans change with the forecast. Cooper Drive will close four hours before kickoff, and parking permit holders are being directed to review game day traffic reminders and preferred routes before leaving for the stadium. Kentucky Athletics also told non-permitted and non-game day traffic to avoid the area around Kroger Field and the athletics facilities, especially Alumni Drive and Cooper Drive.

Parking near Kroger Field

Fans without permits can review the non-permit football parking map and may use the reserved single-game lot for $50 per vehicle or Parking Structure 6. The reserved lot is at the William T. Young Library lots at Woodland and Columbia avenues.

Fans with a permit for the newly expanded Parking Structure 7 may enter and exit from Complex Drive or Sports Center Drive. Kentucky Athletics said increased vehicle volume is expected around Parking Structure 7, especially on Complex Drive and Sports Center Drive, and fans should avoid University Drive because of construction near the UK Medical Campus.

Lexington game-day traffic

The notice comes with the Keeneland Fall Meet in full swing and a busy weekend expected across Lexington. Kentucky Athletics said it is closely monitoring weather conditions and will communicate updates if they change.

For now, the plan stays fixed: a 7 p.m. ET kickoff, a rain-and-wind advisory for game-day travel, and a set of parking and access limits that begin before fans reach Kroger Field.
