Kentucky Athletics said Saturday’s Kentucky football game vs. LSU will stay on schedule at 7 p.m. ET even as Lexington KY weather is expected to bring rainy and windy conditions. Fans heading to Kroger Field are being told to plan ahead, arrive early and expect changes around parking and arrival timing.

Kroger Field and LSU

The game will be played at Kroger Field, and Kentucky Athletics said the halftime drone show will be rescheduled for a future home game. That leaves the main event in place while one in-game feature moves off Saturday’s schedule.

For fans, the practical steps start before kickoff. Kentucky Athletics said UK Team Shop locations outside Gate 4 and inside Kroger Field throughout the concourses will sell rain gear, including blue ponchos, while supplies last. Umbrellas are permitted, but they may not be opened in the seating area.

Alumni Drive and Cooper Drive

With the Keeneland Fall Meet in full swing and a busy weekend expected across Lexington, Kentucky Athletics said fans should allow additional travel time and arrive early. Fans attending both Keeneland and the game are being encouraged to use the Kroger Field-Keeneland shuttle connector.

Parking permit holders were told to review the game day traffic reminders and preferred routes to their assigned lots before leaving for the stadium. Non-permitted and non-game day traffic should avoid the area around Kroger Field and the athletics facilities, especially Alumni Drive and Cooper Drive.

Fans without permits can review the non-permit football parking map and consider the reserved single-game lot for $50 per vehicle or Parking Structure 6, which is free while space remains available. The reserved single-game lot is at the William T. Young Library lots at Woodland and Columbia avenues.

Parking Structure 7

Fans with a permit for Parking Structure 7 may enter and exit from Complex Drive or Sports Center Drive, where increased vehicle volume is expected. Due to construction near the UK Medical Campus, Kentucky Athletics said fans should avoid University Drive.

Cooper Drive will close four hours before kickoff, adding another time-sensitive change for anyone trying to reach the stadium late. Kentucky Athletics said it is closely monitoring weather conditions and will communicate updates if conditions change.
