Jagiellonia Białystok Vs Górnik Zabrze will be about more than three points on 2026-10-27, with the Chorten Arena staging a match day that also supports breast-cancer prevention and marks the 35th anniversary of the Podlaski Oddział SG.

The Ekstraklasa fixture is scheduled to kick off at 20.15 in Białystok, but the evening will begin long before the first whistle. The club has linked the game with a public-awareness campaign in October, the month described as dedicated to fighting these cancers, and with a celebration for the regional Border Guard unit created in 1991.

Scarves for the first 100 in the yellow-red zone

Club spokesperson Kamil Świrydowicz said the first 100 people who come before the game to the so-called yellow-red zone will receive scarves. The idea is that those scarves should then travel beyond the stadium, passed on to family members and people in supporters' lives with a simple message: go for examinations.

That gives the occasion a wider purpose than a normal league night. The match remains the centrepiece, but the club is clearly trying to use the crowd and the atmosphere around the ground to carry a health message into homes and communities.

A stadium event with a second layer

The Podlaski Oddział SG anniversary will also be marked inside the stadium with an exhibition and an information stand in the yellow-red zone. Katarzyna Zdanowicz pointed out that many Jagiellonia fans are officers from the unit, which helps explain why the club has been able to build this link so naturally.

She also said that anyone interested in the Border Guard and its history can learn about it at the outdoor exhibition. In her view, the values written on the stadium wall - pride, tradition, patriotism and honour - are also important for SG officers.

For Jagiellonia, it means the visit of Górnik Zabrze comes with a broader civic backdrop. The football still matters, of course, but so do the messages being carried around it: awareness, community and recognition for a unit celebrating 35 years of service.
