Friday was only his second night back at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino after a Thursday concert that was his first performance there since late August. He said on social media, “We just finished a fantastic summer tour.”

Manilow’s rep said he got hit with bronchitis, and the Friday and Saturday shows were canceled because of it. He had already said last December that he had been diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer, and he underwent surgery and voice rehabilitation after that diagnosis. The Friday exit, then, landed after a recent return to the room and after a health timeline that makes any abrupt stop harder to dismiss as routine fatigue.
