Brewers keep same NLCS roster as Division Series — Brewers Roster stays unchanged

The Brewers roster will look the same in the National League Championship Series as it did in the Division Series. Ahead of the Championship Series, the Brewers announced no changes to the group they used against the Padres, keeping continuity in place for the start of the best-of-seven round.

That means the Brewers will move forward with 13 pitchers and 12 position players, including two catchers, six infielders and five outfielders plus a DH option. It is a straightforward decision, but one that tells you the Brewers are comfortable with the balance they already had in the previous round.

No changes from the Division Series

During the Division Series against the Padres, Shane Drohan, Kyle Harrison and Chad Patrick did not pitch. Even with that detail in the background, the Brewers did not make any roster switches for the NLCS. The same players who were available in the Division Series are the ones available again now.

That matters because roster decisions in October are often tied to opponent fit, recent usage and health. Instead, the Brewers opted for stability. With a short turnaround between series, keeping the same group avoids asking players to adjust to a new role or a new postseason setup.

Matchup questions still remain

The Brewers still have lineup and platoon choices to sort through, especially against left-handed pitching. Manager Pat Murphy is likely to factor those matchups into how he uses the roster, which could shape which bats get the most important plate appearances.

On the other side of the matchup, the Dodgers also made one roster change ahead of the Championship Series, removing Hyeseong Kim and adding Justin Wrobleski. That kind of move underscores how each club can approach the same stage differently, even when the series calendar is the same.

For the Brewers, the message is simple: the roster they trusted in the Division Series is the one they are trusting again in the NLCS. Now the question is whether that continuity translates into another step forward.
