Josh Allen’s pistachio farm connection is back on TV on Oct. 12, when Wonderful Pistachios debuts a second-year campaign during Monday Night Football. The Buffalo Bills quarterback said he is returning to the brand because it keeps leaning into the farmer side of his life, while the launch ties the ads to the Bills-Rams game.

Allen said, “I’m excited to be back with Wonderful Pistachios for another year because they keep finding new ways to have fun with the farmer side of my life.” He added, “I get to eat pistachios, make some funny commercials and remind people I actually know my way around a pistachio orchard.”

Wonderful Pistachios and Josh Allen

Wonderful Pistachios is extending the partnership into a second year, and Michael Perdigao said the brand is leaning into Allen as both an NFL star and a pistachio farmer. He said, “Because as the on-screen disclosure in these ads say, ‘Seriously, Josh Allen really owns a pistachio farm.'” That combination is unusual in celebrity CPG marketing: the endorsement is built around a farm link that is part of the product chain, not just a name on packaging.

The timing is deliberate. Allen’s Bills play the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 12, and the TV launch anchors an integrated campaign running through the football season. For viewers, that means the first on-air push arrives with a nationally televised game, then keeps going in stores and online after the spot debuts.

Tackle Sled and Resistance Bands

The campaign extends the humor of The Don’t Hold Back Snack with Tackle Sled and Resistance Bands. In Tackle Sled, a teammate stuffs himself inside a training sled to keep himself from snacking. In Resistance Bands, another teammate straps himself to a wall to stay away from a bag of pistachios.

Earlier this season, a limited-edition Josh Allen package of the brand’s 16-ounce Roasted & Salted In-Shell Pistachios launched, giving retailers a product hook before the new ads arrive. The campaign also includes behind-the-scenes social content and Instagram giveaways featuring signed jerseys, footballs and a bobblehead depicting Allen on a tractor.

Bills Backers bars and Firebaugh

Launch-night activations will take place at select Bills Backers bars in New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver and Rochester, New York, where fans can receive complimentary bags of pistachios. That gives the launch a retail and local-event layer beyond the spot itself, with the in-bar sampling designed to move the product while the game is on.

The partnership also includes the renewed Josh Allen Scholarship, which supports students in Firebaugh, California, with up to $12,000 over four years of college. For Allen, the farm narrative runs through the ads, the package, the giveaways and the scholarship in one campaign instead of as separate promotions, which is why the Oct. 12 debut is more than a single commercial hit.
