PlayStation showed the Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller while launching Part 1 of the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV update. Gran Turismo 7 players get the new content for free today, but the controller’s release date and price are still not part of the reveal.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1
Part 1 adds six new vehicles to Gran Turismo 7, along with the Sportsland Sugo circuit, new events, Scapes locations, gameplay features, Car Viewer features, Experience mode, and 6 new World Circuit events. That means the update changes more than the car list; it also changes where players race and how they move through the game’s modes.
The rollout is set for 11:00 pm PDT, October 15 at 7:00 am BST, and 3:00 pm JST. For players, the practical move is simple: install the free update when it reaches their region and then check World Circuit and the new circuit for the added content.
Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense
The first look at the Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller arrives as part of 30 years of Gran Turismo. The reveal gives fans a design preview tied to the anniversary, but it does not yet turn into a purchase decision because PlayStation did not say when the controller will go on sale.
That gap is the friction in the story. The game update is available for free beginning today, while the controller remains at the teaser stage, so the immediate player action is clear for Gran Turismo 7 and still absent for the hardware.
Tianyuan Li and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo
Tianyuan Li said, “Electric hypercars must answer a fundamental question, Do we pursue extreme low drag for straight-line speed, or maximum downforce to conquer corners? The optimal solution lies in finding the perfect balance between the two.” The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo reflects that idea with a drag coefficient of 0.29, downforce of -1.2, and an aerodynamic efficiency rating of 4.1.
Kazunori Yamauchi said, “When I saw that Xiaomi had resolved the contradiction between low drag and high downforce, I was truly amazed.” He also tied the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo to the Vision Gran Turismo Trophy event at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, which gives players a concrete place to see the car rather than just a showroom rendering.
The question left hanging is when the Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense will ship and what it will cost.
