Pedro Pascal and Lux Pascal turned a rare red-carpet appearance into the focus of the Candace Cameron Bure Full House reunion conversation on 13 October. They hugged while posing at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Behemoth!, a public sibling moment that carried more weight because the pair only occasionally appear together at major red carpets.
13 October also put Behemoth! back in view ahead of its 4 December US release. Pedro Pascal wore a camel jacket, while Lux Pascal chose a burgundy dress, and the photos landed the appearance in the narrow category of celebrity sibling moments that register as news, not just style coverage.
BFI London Film Festival premiere
Pedro Pascal attended the Behemoth! premiere as part of the film’s launch run, with the BFI London Film Festival providing the first major public stage for the project. In the film, he plays a renowned, prolific cellist who returns to Los Angeles to compose film scores, with Olivia Wilde cast as his character’s ex-girlfriend.
Will Arnett, Hank Azaria and Matthew Lillard are also in the cast, which gives the film a broader commercial footprint than a single-star vehicle. For a festival premiere, that matters because ensemble recognition can widen the audience beyond the lead performer’s fan base.
Lux Pascal and public visibility
Lux Pascal publicly came out as transgender in 2021 on the cover of Chilean magazine Ya, and she graduated from Juilliard School in 2023. By the time she and her brother reached the BFI red carpet together again in January 2024 at the Emmys in January, their joint appearances had already become occasional rather than routine.
Pedro Pascal has been explicit about that relationship in public, saying in Esquire, “She is and has always been one of the most powerful people and personalities I’ve ever known. My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me.” He has also written, “A world without trans people has never existed and never will,” and added, “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorising the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.”
Rare joint appearance
The public family moment is unusually intimate, but the siblings only make occasional joint appearances on major red carpets. That is why this one reads less like routine promotion and more like a visible statement of support attached to a film campaign that is about to move from festival attention to a US release schedule.
Pedro Pascal and Lux Pascal have already shown they will step out together when the occasion is big enough, and the 13 October premiere fits that pattern cleanly. With Behemoth! headed to the US on 4 December, the sibling photo call does double duty: it keeps the film in circulation and keeps Lux Pascal visible in a space where representation still carries public consequence.
