Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have opened the fortunes weave expansion pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and Wave 1 is available today. The rollout gives Players of Fire Emblem a fixed path through three separate waves of DLC, with the first drop landing immediately and the rest spaced out through this holiday and 2027.
Wave 1 weapons
Wave 1 brings four additional weapons, each built as prototype weapons for the four heroes. They are modeled after Heroes Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which gives the opening drop a clear mechanical hook: early equipment built to echo a known weapon style rather than a simple stat bump.
For players, that means the first value in the Expansion Pass is practical, not cosmetic. Four new weapons can change how the opening stretch of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave plays, especially because prototype gear usually asks players to rethink who carries what before the rest of the DLC arrives.
Wave 2 and Dagda
Wave 2 adds additional wearable outfits and three additional allies, including the gods who once ruled Dagda. The DLC also lets players enlist those powerful gods in battle during the story’s final act, which makes this wave more than a wardrobe update.
That alliance is the wrinkle. The source says the gods join as allies, but it does not explain how those allies will alter balance, story progression, or the final-act setup. For Players of Fire Emblem, the real question is whether Wave 2 changes tactics as much as it changes the roster.
Wave 3 stories
Wave 3 will add new stories, new allies, new classes, and more, following Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia. That is the broadest content drop in the Expansion Pass, and it pushes the DLC from equipment and party-building into replay value built around additional narrative content.
Its release lands in 2027, after Wave 2 arrives this holiday. For now, the practical move is simple: Wave 1 is already live, so players who want the earliest gameplay changes can start there and work forward as the larger story additions roll in.
