Two people were killed and three others were in critical condition after gunfire broke out at a Little Rock Circle K on Thursday evening. The shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. at the store on Colonel Glenn and South University, and Little Rock police said they were still working to identify the people involved.
Mayor Frank Scott Jr. spoke to media at the scene and called the shooting “completely senseless.” Police said the gunfire left five victims in all, a toll that made the case one of the city’s most serious violent incidents of the day.

Little Rock police said they used Flock cameras to track down two cars that raced away from the scene after the shooting. That tracking helped officers move quickly after the violence ended, even as the investigation remained open and the names of those involved had not been released.
Eyewitnesses told KATV that multiple shooters were involved. Police said they had multiple suspects in custody, but they had not yet identified anyone involved with the shooting.
The hospital count mattered immediately for anyone connected to the Circle K because three people were still being treated in critical condition after the Thursday evening shooting. For customers, employees, and nearby drivers, the practical next step is the same: let Little Rock police handle the scene and avoid treating any new detail as settled until investigators sort out who fired and why.
The unresolved piece is straightforward and still central: who was involved in the shooting and what led to the violence? Police had not answered that by the time of the report, even with several people already in custody and two cars traced from the scene.
