Justice Scores Grand Theft Auto Vi Launch Trailer With 34-Track Rollout

Justice composed the original score for Grand Theft Auto VI, and Rockstar Games used the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer to preview part of that soundtrack. The rollout is moving before the game’s November 19 release, not after it.

Flower in a Hurricane

The preview centers on “Flower in a Hurricane,” a track that features Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Snippets of the song are in the new trailer, which turns a music credit into a marketing asset and gives the soundtrack a lead single-style function inside the game’s promotion.

Justice’s move lands after Hyperdrama, released in 2024. That album’s “Neverender,” featuring Tame Impala, won the group a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2025, so the duo arrives in GTA VI with recent award momentum rather than as a nostalgia booking.

34 Tracks, Nine Out

The GTA VI soundtrack has 34 tracks, and nine songs have been released so far. Yung Lean, Travis Scott, and Cardi B are among the artists already in the rollout, which makes the score reveal part of a broader drip-feed rather than a one-off trailer stunt.

That slow release sits next to the game’s fixed November 19 date, which gives the soundtrack a strange double life: it is being sold as an advancing series while the main product already has a locked launch. For players, the useful takeaway is simple — the music campaign is now a separate story line, and the trailer is where Rockstar is letting more of it surface.

Philip Sherburne Revisits

The last Grand Theft Auto score came out in 2013, built by the Alchemist, Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, and Oh No, with DJ Shadow handling the mix and sync work. That gap makes Justice’s arrival a real change in the series’ sound design, not just another name added to a credit block.

Philip Sherburne’s review of Justice’s Hyperdrama is worth revisiting because it helps explain why this pairing fits the moment: the duo has already shown it can work with Tame Impala, and Grand Theft Auto VI is now using that relationship to frame its soundtrack rollout. The open question is the rest of the 34-track list, and the remaining songs will have to carry the campaign from here.
