A Kildare family syndicate and a Dublin player each won the €200,000 top prize on the All Cash Spectacular Scratch Card in September. The winning tickets came from Spar Service Station on Woodstock Street in Athy, Co. Kildare, and Circle K Hartstown on Hartstown Road in Clonsilla, Dublin 15.

The Kildare syndicate’s head kept the scratchcard under a pillow while waiting to claim it. “There were tears of joy in the living room when we learned we were holding the winning Scratch Card! We quickly had to quieten down so the neighbours wouldn't know something big had happened!” the winner said. “It stayed under my pillow. I suppose you could say I was keeping it close enough so that I could dream about what we could do with the win!”

The Kildare prize went to a family syndicate, while the Dublin win went to one player. That split matters in practical terms because a syndicate claim is shared across the group, so the prize will not sit with one person in the same way as an individual win. The claim itself also places the win on a named retail counter in Co. Kildare, giving the group a specific place to trace the ticket back to.

The Dublin winner described a different moment of discovery. “You hear about people winning all the time, but to be sat here today in the winner's room is very surreal, I just can't believe it, I only went in for milk and eggs, and now I'm sat here in the Winners Room.” They added: “I thought it was €20,000 at first. I didn't see the extra zero!”

That mistake left the Dublin player thinking the prize was far smaller than it was until the extra zero changed the scale of the claim. The ticket came from Circle K Hartstown on Hartstown Road in Clonsilla, Dublin 15, turning an ordinary shop visit into a €200,000 win.

A separate Dublin player also collected a €20,000 All Cash Gold prize at National Lottery HQ after buying the ticket at Spar on 72 Fassaugh Avenue in Cabra, Dublin 7. “I always wondered what would happen when you scratched and revealed the top prize, would the scratch card burst into celebration with confetti? While the Scratch Card didn't burst into confetti, the feeling was every bit as exciting!” the winner said. “I've a few music projects on the go at the moment, so this will really help me bring those over the line. But the really special thing about this win, is being kind to people who were kind to me when I needed it.”

The three claims show how September delivered top-prize wins across Dublin and Kildare, with the larger prizes going to both a family syndicate and an individual shopper. For the Kildare group, the only open point in the claim is how the money will be divided among the members.
