Golden Sky Festival lands Zach Bryan, Megan Moroney for 2027 return

Golden Sky Festival is coming back to Sacramento in 2027, and the first names on the bill are Zach Bryan and Megan Moroney. The country event will return to Discovery Park on Oct. 9-10, 2027, after a two-year hiatus that left the city without the festival in 2025 and 2026.

Organizers used a drone show over Tower Bridge to reveal several of the biggest names, including Ty Myers and Treaty Oak Revival. The full lineup also runs through Whiskey Myers, Hudson Westbrook, Max McNown, Wyatt Flores, Vincent Mason, Avery Anna, Braxton Keith, Kaitlin Butts, Alexandra Kay and The Band Perry, giving Golden Sky Festival a wide country field for its return.

The rollout matters because the festival had not been held in Sacramento since 2024, when it expanded to three days. Bringing it back in 2027 restores a multi-day event at Discovery Park after a gap that forced fans and the local event calendar to go without it for two seasons.

Danny Wimmer Presents and the gap

Danny Wimmer Presents produces both GoldenSky and Aftershock, and both festivals are held at Discovery Park. Organizers had previously tied the pause to competition in the festival market and challenges booking country artists, which explains why the return is being staged as a restart rather than a simple annual booking.

That backdrop also helps explain the structure of the 2027 reveal: the festival came back with a full lineup instead of a slow drip of announcements, and the return is set for back-to-back weekends in the broader Discovery Park calendar. For Sacramento, the practical change is simple: Golden Sky Festival is back on sale Friday, and the city’s country-festival gap is finally ending.
