Strictly Come Dancing week 4 turns Sunday’s results show into an icons week tribute to Madonna and Dolly Parton. Belles will sing Jolene, with Amy Dowden and Kai Widdrington alongside her, while the main Saturday show still has a full dance card before the tribute segment lands.
Belles previously recorded a duet with Dolly Parton earlier this year, and the results show will now place that link at the centre of the episode. In August, Parton died of cancer at the age of 80, so the tribute is doing double duty: a performance slot for Belles and a formal nod to one of the week’s featured names.
Madonna eras on Sunday
The Sunday routine built around Madonna is being staged as a dance through several eras of her career, rather than a single-song homage. That structure gives the results show more weight than a standard post-main-show reveal, because the tribute itself becomes part of the competitive television package viewers are already following on the weekend.
Dowden and Widdrington will stay attached to Belles for Jolene, which keeps the tribute anchored to an existing performance relationship instead of dropping in a one-off guest slot. For viewers, that means Sunday is not just about who advances; it also carries the week’s most distinctive production decision.
Saturday’s main show line-up
Saturday’s main show still carries the week’s regular competitive load. Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu will dance the cha cha to Respect by Aretha Franklin, Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin will perform the rumba to Hero by Mariah Carey, and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu will take on the paso doble to Let’s Dance by David Bowie.
Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola are set for the American smooth to Hometown Glory by Adele, Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon will dance the tango to That Don’t Impress Me Much by Shania Twain, and Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita will perform the samba to Where Is My Husband! by Raye. Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby will foxtrot to Theme From New York, New York by Frank Sinatra, Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley will salsa to an Abba medley, and John Nellis and Katya Jones will perform the paso doble to It’s My Life by Bon Jovi.
Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystal will salsa to La Copa De La Vida by Ricky Martin, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr will perform a couple’s choice to a James Brown medley, and Will Best and Dianne Buswell will jive to Crocodile Rock by Elton John. Melanie Walters and Aljaz Skorjanec were eliminated last week, which leaves the field thinner before the Sunday tribute episode even begins.
Delta Goodrem’s bye
Delta Goodrem has received a bye through to next week because she is injured, while the rest of the contestants are still performing this week. That creates the only real disruption in a packed schedule: the show is running a tribute-heavy weekend, but one couple is already exempt from the pressure of Saturday’s main show.
For viewers, the practical takeaway is straightforward. Saturday brings the competitive dances, Sunday adds the Madonna and Dolly Parton tribute layer, and the injured bye changes the field without changing the format. The result is a week that keeps its scoring rhythm, yet gives the results show a more produced, less routine finish than usual.
