NBC 10 Philadelphia reported that the Philadelphia Police Homicide Division is investigating a deadly car fire near Philadelphia International Airport after crews found one person dead early Sunday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the 8400 block of Enterprise Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Fire crews said a vehicle had exploded in a parking lot there. The scene was just outside the perimeter of Philadelphia International Airport.

The call brought Philadelphia Fire Department crews to a parking lot near the airport before investigators took over the scene. The death turned a fire response into a homicide investigation, with detectives focusing on what happened before the explosion and who was inside the vehicle.
The Philadelphia Police Homicide Division was seen at the location as the case developed. Police have not released the identity of the deceased individual.

Police also have not released what led up to the deadly explosion. That leaves two basic facts in place for now: one person died, and investigators are treating the fire as a death scene near a major travel hub.
For anyone passing through the area, the immediate practical change is limited to the police response at the site itself. The unresolved questions are the cause of the explosion and the identity of the person found dead, and those answers will determine whether the case stays centered on an unexplained fire or develops into a broader criminal investigation.
