The Cleveland Browns signed RB Audric Estime to the active roster on Tuesday, adding another option to their backfield after placing RB Raheim Sanders on injured reserve with a hip injury sustained at the New York Jets.
The move gives the Browns an experienced runner in Estime, who is in his third NFL season and was originally drafted by Denver in the fifth round in 2024. He has appeared in 20 career games, logging 122 carries for 508 yards and three touchdowns, while also catching 17 passes for 170 yards.
What Estime brings
Estime comes in at 5-11 and 227 pounds, and his NFL path has already included time with the Broncos and Saints before this latest opportunity with Cleveland. He appeared in games for Denver as a rookie in 2024 and later saw game action for the Saints in 2025, giving the Browns a back who has already been through multiple roster situations.
For Cleveland, the timing matters. Sanders had played in all five games before his injury, so the Browns now have to cover for that absence while also sorting out the rest of the depth chart. Estime's addition is the clearest immediate response to that need.
Other Browns roster moves
The Browns also signed TE Devin Culp and G Vershon Lee to the practice squad. In corresponding moves, they released CB Myles Bryant and WR James Proche II from the practice squad.
Those moves are secondary to the Estime-Sanders shuffle, but they show Cleveland continuing to adjust the bottom of the roster as injuries and weekly needs reshape the group. For now, the biggest change is straightforward: Estime is on the active roster, and Sanders is headed to IR.
