Davante Adams left the Los Angeles Rams' Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth quarter after a non-contact injury that had him grabbing at his knee area.
Adams had already been involved in the game before the injury, finishing with three catches for 39 yards. He entered Week 6 with 27 catches for 441 yards and four touchdowns, continuing to serve as one of the Rams' most important targets.
What the injury could mean for the Rams
The timing matters because Adams has been an elite red-zone target since joining the Rams, and the team does not have much proven depth at wide receiver beyond Adams and Puka Nacua. If Adams has to miss time, the Rams could be forced to look harder at their options behind that duo.
The game itself only added to the concern. After Adams exited, the Rams lost to the Cardinals on a last-second field goal after taking the lead with under one minute left to play.
Any extended absence would also raise the pressure on the rest of the receiver room. Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, CJ Daniels, Alex Bachman and Tutu Atwell would all become more relevant if the Rams have to adjust their depth chart before the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 10.
For now, the main question is simple: how long will Adams be sidelined after a non-contact scare that ended his Week 6 night early?
