Candice Swanepoel Shares New 37-Year-Old Tropic of C Bikini Photos

Candice Swanepoel posted new poolside modeling photos on Instagram, using her own Tropic of C bikini as the outfit and the brand message. The 37-year-old supermodel and entrepreneur turned a simple photo set into a direct showcase for the label she built in 2018.

Tropic of C in 2018

The post centers on Tropic of C, the swimwear brand she founded in 2018 while pregnant with her second child. Its pitch has stayed tightly defined around sustainable fabrics and female empowerment, which makes the photos more than a casual vacation upload; they double as product placement from the woman who owns the line.

That matters because Swanepoel is not just lending her image to someone else’s campaign. She is modeling her own product, on her own account, with no middle layer between the brand and the audience. For a label built around personal identity, that kind of distribution is the whole point.

Victoria's Secret After 2021

The timing also sits against a more complicated career backdrop. Victoria's Secret dissolved the Angels contract in 2021 and replaced it with the VS Collective, yet Swanepoel returned to the Victoria's Secret runway in 2024 and 2025 after being under the Angels contract since 2010.

She has said, “I wouldn't be anywhere without Victoria's Secret,” and also, “Being one of the Angels is one of the few jobs that can totally change someone's life. For example, clients and designers who would have never given you a second look now sit up and take notice.” Those comments explain why the brand history still hangs over any new public appearance from her, even when the image is built around Tropic of C rather than VS.

Anacan and Ariel

Her home life is part of the same picture. Swanepoel and Hermann Nicoli welcomed Anacan in October 2016 and Ariel in June 2018, and she has described parenting two children as both rewarding and demanding. Anacan also appeared in a 2017 Gap campaign alongside her in support of Every Mother Counts.

The result is a post with two jobs at once: it keeps Swanepoel visible as a working model and pushes Tropic of C through her own platform. The only open question is whether the photos are simply a standalone update or the first move in a broader Tropic of C push, because the post itself does not explain any new product angle or campaign plan.
