Warhammer Community has revealed new Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce boxes for Christmas, giving hobbyists a fresh seasonal buying window across Space Marines, Chaos Knights, Space Wolves, Blood Angels, Iron Warriors and Necrons. The catch is simple: the boxes are going up soon, but the exact pre-order timing has not been set out yet.
Indomitus Task Force Leads
The Indomitus Task Force is built as a versatile core for a Space Marines army, with shooting, fighting and durability all in the same box. That makes it the clearest all-rounder in the batch, aimed at players who want a foundation they can develop rather than a narrow themed add-on.
For buyers, that broad design is the practical part of the reveal. A Battleforce that can anchor an army does more than fill a shelf; it cuts the amount of separate purchasing needed to get a force moving, especially when the release window is tied to Christmas rather than a normal year-round drop.
Chaos Knights to Ultramar
The Chaos Knight Battleforce packs 4 War Dog Stalkers, and those can alternatively be built as War Dog Brigands or War Dog Karnivores. The Knight Ruinator can alternatively be built as a Knight Abominant, a Knight Rampager or a Knight Desecrator, so the box is doing the work of several loadouts at once rather than locking buyers into a single configuration.
Nekrosor Ammentar and his collection of Nightbringer C’tan Shards made a mess around Ultramar, which gives the Necrons side of the reveal a named figure and a clear bit of narrative texture. That kind of hook matters because these boxes are not only unit bundles; they are also the easiest route for players to buy into a force with a defined identity and a small amount of built-in story.
Space Wolves and Blood Angels
The Space Wolves Battleforce includes Wolf Guard Terminators led by the Great Wolf and his personal champion, while the Angelus Assault Force gives Blood Angels units built to crash down on foes and includes a Brutalis Dreadnought. The Iron Warriors Battleforce adds a Defiler, while the Battlewagon can alternatively be built as a Gunwagon and can fit all 10 of the Boyz at the same time when built as a Battlewagon.
That spread across Space Wolves, Blood Angels, Iron Warriors and the ork set broadens the buying pool beyond one army style. It also signals that the festive release is being used as a multi-faction retail push, not a single headline box that crowds everything else out.
Warhammer.com Soon
The boxes will be available for pre-order soon, but Warhammer Community has not given the exact date, and that is the only real friction in an otherwise straightforward shopping announcement. Buyers can plan around Christmas, but they still cannot mark a calendar day, so the sensible move is to keep checking Warhammer.com rather than waiting for a last-minute scramble.
Warhammer Community also said to stay tuned for what is on offer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. For now, the clean read is that the Christmas wave has started with Warhammer 40,000, and the next move is simply watching for the pre-order window to open.
