Kylie Jenner brought Kylie Cosmetics-linked star power to Victoria’s Secret by debuting on the runway in the brand’s $50 million Fantasy Bra. The piece returned to the show for the first time since 2018, turning a single look into a high-value branding move.

At 29, Jenner stepped out in white feathered wings, a gauzy mini skirt and clear heels, with a garment built around 4,410 natural diamonds and a 75.54-carat radiant-cut Fancy Vivid yellow diamond. The finished piece weighs just under four pounds, and its price sits $35 million above the earlier Fantasy Bra benchmark.

Adam Selman and fandomonium

Adam Selman said “A big idea for the show was fandomonium” and called Jenner “a cultural powerhouse,” which explains why Victoria’s Secret paired the return of The Fantasy Bra with a face whose following reaches 380 million on Instagram. He also said, “I think it’s an interesting pairing that we’re giving the fans: we’re giving them what they want with this amazing Fantasy Bra, and we’re going to put it on an unexpected talent who has a massive following and massive cultural impact.”

Selman added, “it’s true entertainment,” and the phrase fits the business logic here. Victoria’s Secret was not just reviving a jewel-heavy costume; it was trying to convert nostalgia into attention by attaching a showpiece with a long dormant runway history to a celebrity who already functions as a distribution channel.

Jacob Arabo and 1,000 hours

Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. helped load the bra with what Selman described as an appropriately impressive amount of glittering cabochons, and the diamonds were rendered in seven cuts: angel, heart, pear, marquise, oval, radiant and round brilliant. Fifteen craftspeople spent more than 1,000 hours building it, which places the item closer to a couture object than a standard runway accessory.

Arabo has made baubles for Madonna, Rihanna, Elton John and Victoria Beckham, and he described Victoria’s Secret as a brand that “changed the way people looked at the lingerie category.” That history matters because the company is leaning on spectacle again after years away from this particular formula, using a piece that is priced, engineered and staged to read as excess.

The Fantasy Bra return

For Victoria’s Secret, the complication is obvious: the bra is being sold as joyful and fan-driven, yet it is also a highly excessive $50 million symbol of glamour. That split is the point of the return. The company brought back a relic of its old showmanship, then handed it to Jenner to make the reset feel current rather than archival.

Why Jenner got the piece instead of another model is the unanswered part. What is clear is that Victoria’s Secret chose a talent with a massive audience, a beauty-business halo and enough reach to turn one runway appearance into a broader brand moment — which is exactly what this kind of expensive comeback now has to do.
