Walmart Plus will soon sit inside a new annual bundle with Sam's Club Plus, giving members one $120 plan instead of paying $218 for the two memberships separately. John Furner announced the offer on Good Morning America and said it starts Oct. 20.

Furner said, “We are really excited to announce that today, we are combining our two membership programs, Walmart Plus and Sam's Club Plus.” He added that the combined offer includes free delivery on eligible orders, a choice of Peacock or Paramount+ streaming subscriptions, access to Sam's Club warehouse stores, and savings of 10 cents per gallon at more than 17,000 participating gas stations.
He also said, “You can save 10 cents per gallon at over 17,000 stations now,” and said current Walmart+ annual members can switch to the combined plan for an additional $22 a year. Sam's Club Plus members can activate Walmart+ at no additional cost, giving each group a direct path into the new bundle.
Prices and savings
The company said the new offer could save shoppers nearly $100 a year. That comparison comes from the $120 annual price plus applicable taxes versus the $218 cost of buying Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus separately.
Furner tied the offer to Walmart’s price strategy, saying, “We'll always be focused on doing everything we can to keep prices as low as we can in any environment as long as we can.” He also said Walmart had more than 7,000 price rollbacks at the end of its first quarter and about 11,000 by the end of its second quarter.
Customer stress at Walmart
Furner said, “We've been in a market for the last several quarters with what we've been describing as a pretty resilient customer environment.” He then added, “And then at the end of the first quarter, we did remark that we saw some stress on some customers and we definitely saw some of their spending change.”
He also said, “Retailers can always move with commodities, that is true, but what is important right now is we saw a way that we could save people money.” The bundle lands in the same period when September inflation rose 3.7% from a year earlier and gas prices were up 34.2%, according to government data cited in the interview.
Oct. 20 start date
Starting Oct. 20, shoppers who already use either program will have a cheaper path into the combined plan, and new members will be able to buy the bundle directly. For members comparing options, the practical difference is simple: one annual payment covers both programs and unlocks the delivery, streaming, store access, and fuel benefits in one place.
