Ian Henderson came off the bench to score an 88th-minute equaliser as Rochdale drew 2-2 with Grimsby Town in a League Two fixture at the Crown Oil Arena.
The match swung back and forth throughout, with Dajaune Brown putting Rochdale ahead in the 38th minute before Kieran Green levelled for Grimsby Town in the 57th minute. Jamie Walker then put the visitors in front in the 72nd minute, leaving Rochdale with work to do late on.
Henderson has the final word
At 41 years old, Henderson made the decisive intervention six minutes from the end of normal time, rescuing a point for Rochdale and making sure the second half ended with the sides level at 2-2.
It was a high-octane clash that featured a lead change in the closing stages, and Henderson's late strike ensured Rochdale did not leave empty-handed after Grimsby Town had briefly moved ahead.
For Rochdale, the result was a reminder that even in a tense and open game, one late moment can reshape the standings. For Grimsby Town, it was a missed chance to finish the night with all three points after going in front in the second half.
