Stick Run said Manuel Otto appeared to take his own life during a Twitch livestream involving its creator and owner. Twitch later removed the livestream and the associated video, according to the game’s statement posted on X.
The company asked people to respect the privacy of those involved and urged the community not to spread unverified information or speculation. It also said anyone with information that may help clarify the circumstances should contact the company or local law enforcement.

Manuel Otto on Facebook
Otto says on Facebook that he is the developer of Stick Run and Stick Combat. Stick Run also described itself on Facebook as “an addictive multiplayer game where you play with a Stick Man, dodge other obstacles and pass your friends. You can play multiplayer in real time with other players around the globe and trade in the marketplace with friends/ other players.”
Stick Run was originally known as a flash and social media game created by Otto, and it later expanded into mobile and web adaptations with leveling systems and item trading markets. The practical step for anyone with relevant information is the one the company named: contact it or local law enforcement, rather than amplify claims that have not been substantiated.
