Ana Navarro told Prince Harry to handle his royal family relationship comments with Prince William privately and to “have it out” with his brother. The advice came after a clip from his GQ interview aired on The View on Wednesday, October 21.
Prince Harry had said he wanted to reconcile with his brother and King Charles. Navarro answered that the discussion should stay out of interviews, tell-all books, and documentaries.
The View clip on October 21
Whoopi Goldberg showed the clip from Harry’s GQ interview on The View before Navarro responded. In the clip, the Duke of Sussex said, “I think, from a family perspective, again, another massively relatable issue for so many people. People, there's sibling disagreements, there's broken relationships between kids and their parents, kids and one parent,”
He added, “Some people don't want it to work out. I want it to work out.” Harry also said, “With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile.” Those remarks put the family feud back into public view on a day when the conversation was already set by the clip.
Ana Navarro’s private advice
Navarro said, “I think the world wants to see them reconcile.” She then said the feud had been “exacerbated” as it came out in public and argued that Harry needs to deal with it “privately.”
Her advice pointed to a direct next step rather than another public statement: “At some point, he's gonna need to pick up the phone or go see his brother and have it out,” she said. The comment set a different standard for the dispute than the one playing out on television, where the issue was being discussed in front of an audience.
Prince William and Prince Harry
The exchange centered on Prince Harry and Prince William, with Navarro treating their rift as a private family matter rather than a topic for repeated public airing. Harry’s own words showed he wants reconciliation; Navarro’s response said the route to it runs through a direct conversation, not another interview.
Whether Prince Harry reaches out by phone or in person is the unresolved part left by the segment. For now, the public record is that he wants reconciliation, and Navarro has told him to make the next move away from cameras.
