Casio has released the Casio G-Shock GMC-2500 line inside the new G-Shock 2500 Series, a nine-watch collection that pushes the OG G-Shock from 1983 into an analogue format. The UK release date is November 7 2026, with prices running from £110 to £300.
The range gives buyers three clear tiers. The GAC-2500 comes in black, white, yellow and dark green for £110, while the GMC-2500 costs £230 and adds a metal-clad bezel and brass dial detailing. The GMC-2500D moves to a metal bracelet and metal case construction at £300.
G-Shock 2500 Series
Casio says the watches remain shock resistant and functional, with the date, stopwatch and calendar information available at the press of a button. A small seconds display sits at 9 o'clock, while the display at 3 o'clock is Casio's Multi-Mission Date window.
That window can show the date or elapsed stopwatch minutes. Once the day, month and year are synced, the automatic calendar can change the date at the end of each month and in leap years. For buyers, that means the same watch can shift between timekeeping and a simpler readout without adding another display.
George Bamford comparison
The collection has also been nicknamed “the Casionaut” online, after leaked pictures circulated in early September. British GQ opened its write-up with “Finally! We can say it.” and said it had received the message, “Can you get hold of one of the new G-Shocks for me, boss? I want to get one for my son’s birthday.”
That reaction followed the same design comparison that has attached the new watches to Patek Philippe’s Nautilus and ’s Royal Oak. British GQ also referred to George Bamford as a previous G-Shock collaboration reference, placing the new release in the same conversation as earlier watch culture crossovers.
Casio and the UK date
Casio’s move extends the G-Shock idea into a fuller analogue range without losing the practical layout that has defined the line. The yellow option, described as “proper Onitsuka Kill Bill yellow,” makes the collection’s finish choices as visible as its pricing tiers.
For UK buyers, the decision point is straightforward: the entry-level GAC-2500 starts at £110, the GMC-2500 raises the finish level to £230, and the GMC-2500D takes the highest spot at £300. The full set reaches stores on November 7 2026, but the collection is already being judged by how closely it sits between a tool watch and a design reference.
Which specific nine watches are included is not listed, so buyers can already weigh price, finish and bracelet choice, but not yet compare every model side by side.
