Chris Pratt said there is nothing official yet on The Terminal List Season 3, even as he talked up the franchise’s long runway ahead of Season 2’s Prime Video release. In the same discussion, he tied that future to how well the new season performs.
Shade 45 and Season 3
Pratt made the comments during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 ahead of Season 2’s premiere on Prime Video. He said, “There’s no shortage of source material,” then added, “I think success in this season would certainly be helpful to continue to tell these stories,” a plain statement of how the series’ commercial traction now shapes what comes next.
That matters because Jack Carr has written eight James Reece novels, giving the production room to keep moving if Amazon decides the audience is still there. The source material is not the constraint; the decision point is whether the franchise keeps earning enough momentum to justify another season.
Tom Hopper and Savage Son
Tom Hopper pushed the conversation a step further in an interview with Men's Journal, saying, “I want to make Savage Son,” and, “I think Savage Son has a story.” His comments point to how the cast is already thinking beyond the current season and into which book could anchor the next stage of the series.
Pratt has also described a much broader long-term path in a separate interview with ComingSoon, saying, “James Reece's last mission is going to be he's going to eat a steak without his dentures in,” and, “Sorry, Amazon, this is for life.” He added, “I think there's a lot of these supporting characters that deserve their own stories,” which keeps the franchise conversation open without turning it into a formal renewal.
Prime Video and eight episodes
Season 2 now streams on Prime Video with eight episodes, and it follows Reece on a globe-trotting mission stretching from Langley to Moscow. That gives viewers a fresh entry point while Amazon weighs whether the next chapter becomes a third season or another extension of the same universe.
The clean read is simple: nothing official has been set for The Terminal List Season 3, but the cast is already mapping out what could come after it. If Season 2 lands, the franchise has enough source material to keep moving without inventing a new engine.
