Leicestershire Police arrest 3 after Sileby death

Leicestershire Police arrested three men after the body of a woman in her 40s was found at an address in Barradale Avenue, Sileby, on 16 October. The force said the death is being treated as unexplained, and the men have since been released on bail.

Police arrested men aged 51, 31 and 30 on Wednesday in connection with the death. A cordon was in place at the address earlier on Friday before being lifted later that day.

Barradale Avenue

East Midlands Ambulance Service found the body at the address on 16 October, starting the police inquiry into what happened there. The case has moved from discovery to arrest, but the force has not said what the men were arrested on suspicion of.

That gap leaves the legal basis for the arrests unstated, even as the investigation continues around the same address. For anyone living nearby, the immediate police presence has eased with the cordon now removed, but the death remains under investigation.

The release of the three men on bail means they are not being held while enquiries continue. Police have not set out any further action in the public update, and the next step will depend on what investigators establish from the address, the death and the arrests already made.
