Auburn will host LSU on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. CT inside Jordan-Hare Stadium, and Auburn Athletics has already put a set of gameday adjustments in place to deal with the early kickoff and the added pressure on entry routes. The changes are designed to ease congestion, speed up arrival, and give fans a clearer plan before they head to the stadium.
The main issue with an 11 a.m. start is familiar. Auburn said early kickoffs have historically produced more fans arriving close to game time, which can lead to congestion and longer waits at stadium entry gates. With construction continuing on the Jordan-Hare North Project, the club has also had to adjust some of the normal traffic and bus arrangements around the venue.
What Auburn has changed for LSU
Among the key operational updates, visiting team bus operations have been temporarily relocated to the south end of Jordan-Hare Stadium because of construction. That is one of the clearest signs that the footprint around the stadium is being managed differently for this matchup.
There are also changes tied to Auburn's traditional fan build-up on game day. Tiger Walk will take place 2.5 hours prior to kickoff earlier this season, and following Tiger Walk the intersection of Donahue Drive and Heisman Drive will reopen until 10 minutes before the Four Corners Pep Rally at 9:40 a.m. That gives fans a short window of access before the area is closed again ahead of the main pregame atmosphere.
Food, drink and gate plans for the morning rush
Auburn Athletics and Aramark are also adjusting concessions around the early start. From 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. on game day, concessions discounts and $5 Michelob Ultras will be available, giving fans an incentive to arrive early rather than trying to beat the rush at the last minute.
For supporters entering the stadium, the message is straightforward: plan ahead. Gates 14–18 are part of the broader entry picture for the LSU game, and with more fans expected to arrive close to kickoff, the usual bottlenecks could appear quickly if people wait too long.
Why the early kickoff matters
An 11 a.m. CT start changes the feel of a home game, especially at a venue like Jordan-Hare Stadium. It compresses the whole day, from arrival to pregame routines to concession traffic, and it means small logistical tweaks can make a big difference to the fan experience.
For Auburn, the challenge is not just hosting LSU. It is making sure the build-up works smoothly despite the early start, the construction around the Jordan-Hare North Project, and the heavier flow of supporters coming through the gates in a shorter window. On Saturday, the football is only part of the story. The rest is making the game day run on time.
