Tamara Tunie is on the presenter list for the Daytime Emmy Awards, and the 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards now have an on-air roster. NATAS says the October 30 ceremony will also feature Genie Francis receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from Jonathan Frakes.
Adam Sharp, president and CEO of NATAS, said, “The 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards will bring together an exciting mix of presenters representing the full spectrum of daytime television.” He added, “From familiar faces in daytime drama to the personalities and creative voices behind talk shows and lifestyle programming, this year’s lineup reflects the breadth of talent that makes daytime so special.”
Sharp maps the roster
The presenter list stretches from daytime drama to lifestyle television, with Susan Walters, Katelyn MacMullen, Paul Telfer, and Delon de Metz among the names announced for the 2026 ceremony. Crystal Chappell, Lesli Kay, Joe Lando, Eva LaRue, A Martinez, Juliet Mills, and Alicia Leigh Willis are set to appear as part of a tribute to daytime dramas from the past.
Eva zu Beck, Danielle Chang, Sunny Hostin, Derek Hough, Pati Jinich, Star Jones, Michael Jr., Judge Greg Mathis, Keke Palmer, James Preston, Nischelle Turner, and Andrew Zimmern are also on the list. That spread tells you how NATAS is programming the night: not as a single soap-heavy broadcast, but as a cross-genre showcase built to keep the telecast moving.
Genie Francis and Jonathan Frakes
Genie Francis will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Jonathan Frakes will present it. Matthew Hoffman will serve as the ceremony’s Voice of God, giving the show a separate on-air role beyond the presenter slate.
The ceremony begins at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on Friday, October 30, at Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA, and it will stream live on the NATAS YouTube channel and. NATAS says the Daytime Emmy Awards on YouTube marks the fourth time this year that it has streamed an Emmy Awards telecast on the service.
18 nominations lead the field
The Daytime Emmy Awards will also fold in the year’s biggest contenders, with The Young and the Restless leading all shows with 18 nominations. Beyond the Gates follows with 15, General Hospital has 13, Days of our Lives has eight, and The Bold and the Beautiful has seven.
Since 1974, the Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized achievement across television programming and crafts, and this lineup shows NATAS leaning into that breadth instead of narrowing the telecast to one corner of the genre. The practical question now is which presenters will be assigned to which awards, because that split will shape how the ceremony balances its drama, lifestyle, and creative arts categories.
