The Clasico was already loaded before kickoff, and the 10e journée de Liga only added to the sense that Barcelona vs Real Madrid was arriving with more than just points at stake. Before the match began, the focus split between the announced lineups, a Barcelona shirt featuring Tyler The Creator's logo, and a pre-match scene near Camp Nou that summed up how big this fixture still is.
For Barcelona, the expected lineup was published before the first whistle, giving supporters the clearest early read on how Barça would approach one of the season's defining nights. The club's shirt detail, tied to the Spotify partnership, also became part of the pre-match picture, with Tyler The Creator front and center on the jersey.
Real Madrid's selection was the other major talking point. Mourinho set his team with Bernardo Silva in midfield alongside Tchouaméni and Güler on the right, a choice that signaled a desire for control and flexibility in the middle of the pitch. In a match like the Clasico, the shape of the midfield often matters as much as the names on the teamsheet, and this version of Real Madrid looked designed to be balanced rather than purely reactive.
There was also a more pointed visual from the buildup: a Real Madrid supporter was filmed near Camp Nou wearing shirts floored with Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. It was a reminder that this fixture is never only about the 90 minutes. The Clasico is a stage, a symbol and, even before kickoff, a full-scale event.
What made this pre-match moment notable was not a single headline detail, but the combination of them. Barcelona vs Real Madrid came into focus through lineups, branding and atmosphere all at once, with Mourinho's XI providing the clearest tactical signal. If the matchup was already going to be watched everywhere, the confirmed selections only sharpened the anticipation.
