The West Virginia Lottery says its iPlay app produced an unclaimed Powerball million-dollar ticket worth $100,000 as the jackpot climbed to about $687 million for the drawing on Monday, October 26, 2026. The prize started as $50,000; Power Play doubled it after the ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball.
That win came during the 31st drawing in the current run, with a cash value of $294.7 million attached to the jackpot. It was also the third Powerball prize on the West Virginia Lottery's iLottery app worth $50,000 or more.
West Virginia Lottery iPlay and Power Play
Powerball players choose 5 numbers between 1 and 69, plus 1 Power Ball number between 1 and 26. Tickets cost $2, or $3 with the Power Play option, which can multiply certain non-jackpot prizes before the drawing is held.
The West Virginia Lottery also says players can buy tickets digitally through the app after downloading it from Google Play or the App Store. The same system that produced this ticket is part of the lottery's broader iLottery setup, which gives players a digital route instead of only a retail purchase.
Claiming the $100,000 prize
The winner can begin the initial claim through the iPlay account and then finish the process at the headquarters for the West Virginia Lottery. That leaves one practical step still hanging over the ticket: the prize exists, but the final claim process has not been completed in the public information provided.
Since the beginning of 2026, Powerball jackpots have been hit six times, and this one was the second biggest jackpot that could be won in 2026 so far. For the person holding the ticket, the immediate task is straightforward: start the claim in iPlay, then complete it in person through the lottery office before the prize moves from a winning ticket to a paid one.
