Pokémon UNITE will end service on March 23, 2027, on mobile and Nintendo Switch, with online matches set to stop after the shutdown. The announcement, posted on Pokemon UNITE’s official website, also sets out what players can still access before and after that date.

The game first launched in July 2021, which puts the shutdown at more than five years after release. Players will still be able to use a new library feature after service ends, and practice mode will remain available.

November 12 event details

A special event begins on November 12 and will let players earn Special Unite Coins. Those coins can be swapped for in-game items and cosmetics, giving players one last chance to convert activity in the game into usable rewards before the shutdown date arrives.

At the same time, Aeos gems can no longer be purchased after the shutdown announcement, and any active subscriptions will end. That changes what players can buy now, even while the game itself remains live for the time being.

What stays after shutdown

After March 23, 2027, online matches will be unplayable, but Pokemon UNITE will not disappear entirely. The new library feature will let players view their play stats, Pokemon, achievements, and cosmetics they earned and used over the years.

That leaves a split outcome for players: live competition ends, while a record of past progress and practice mode remain accessible. For anyone still spending time in UNITE, the practical window is now tied to the November 12 event and the cutoff for Aeos gems and subscriptions.

March 23, 2027 cutoff

The clearest next step is simple. Players who want to use the remaining live features need to act before March 23, 2027, because that is when service ends on both mobile and Nintendo Switch.
