Giuliana & Bill weigh Nashville or Florida for Duke

Giuliana & Bill are weighing a move to Nashville or Florida as they look at what is best for Duke. On the Tuesday, October 27 episode of their eponymous iHeartRadio podcast, Giuliana Rancic said the family is thinking about where to settle before their son starts high school next fall.

Giuliana said, "As you guys may or may not know, Bill and I, we’ve moved a lot through the years" and added that Nashville has been on the couple’s list for some time. She also said, "We visited Nashville, and we’re considering moving there." That puts a real destination on the table instead of a vague relocation idea.

The family has lived through several moves already. Giuliana and Bill Rancic got married in 2007, settled in Chicago to raise Duke after splitting time in the Midwest and Los Angeles, and also briefly spent time in Austin, Texas. Now the decision has narrowed to two places that fit different parts of the family’s life.

Duke changes the calculus

Giuliana said Duke is 14 and is speaking about the move with a level of directness they had not heard when he was younger. She quoted him saying, "The city’s chaotic." That kind of feedback pushes the conversation beyond lifestyle preference and into the day-to-day reality of where a teenager will actually want to live.

She also tied the timing to the calendar around him, saying, "We, obviously, want to do whatever is best for our son. I mean, listen, at the end of the day, he’s 14. He’ll start his life, regardless if he goes to college or not, at 18 or 19. It’s going to be here before we know it," and, "We want him to have the best experience possible these next handful of years." That makes this less about a family preference and more about a narrow window before high school begins next fall.

Nashville and Florida

Giuliana said, "Nashville seems to check a lot of boxes … [but] we have talked about Florida as well because Bill’s a boater and we love the water and we love the weather" — a clean split between practical fit and lifestyle pull. The complication is that Nashville looks strong on paper, while Duke’s reaction to it adds resistance the couple cannot ignore.

Which of the two locations, Nashville or Florida, they are most likely to choose is not answered yet, but the setup is clear: the family wants the move settled before next fall, and the decision now runs through Duke, not through the adults’ preferred cities.
