The Daredevil series reached a streaming high in the first half of 2026, then ran into a hard stop: Season 3 will be its last. Deborah Ann Woll said that ending did not catch her off guard, even as the show was drawing enough viewing to lead Disney+ originals.

Luminate data put Daredevil: Born Again at No. 1 among Disney+ original series in the first half of 2026. That is a strong audience signal for any title, and it makes the decision to end after Season 3 harder to read as a ratings problem.

Woll on Karen Page

Deborah Ann Woll said, “It wasn’t super surprising to me, no,” when asked whether she was surprised to see the series end with its next batch of episodes. She added, “I don’t know about hopes moving forward.”

Woll also framed Karen Page as a character with room beyond the plotline on screen: “in my mind, she’s a full person with a full life, and her life will continue.” She said, “She’s going to continue to fight injustice, and whether they choose to include any of that is up to people far above my pay grade.”

Season 3 cast lineup

Season 3 keeps Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin at the center of the series. Deborah Ann Woll returns as Karen Page, with Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Clark Johnson as Cherry, and Matthew Lillard as Mr. Charles.

Krysten Ritter is also set to return as Jessica Jones, alongside Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, and Elodie Yung as Elektra Natchios. That lineup gives the season a wider street-level bench even as the series is being read as a closing chapter rather than a reset.

Disney+ after next March

The series is expected to return to Disney+ next March, which puts the final run on the calendar while the audience data still works in its favor. That mix points to a familiar industry choice: a show can be a streaming draw and still fit a larger plan that stops at Season 3.

Marvel Studios is leaving the door open for a cleaner handoff into 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars, and that may be the real reason Season 4 does not appear to be part of the road map. For viewers, the practical takeaway is simple: the show’s strongest streaming case is arriving as its endpoint is already set.
