The Motley Fool Sees XRP Falling Further in 12 Months — Xrp Price Prediction 2030 Analyst

Xrp Price Prediction 2030 Analyst turns on a simple warning: XRP may fall further over the next 12 months. The Motley Fool says the token’s payment role faces pressure from Ripple USD, a less volatile option that runs on the XRP Ledger.

XRP and Ripple USD

Banks and financial institutions can use XRP to move money across borders via the XRP Ledger, where transactions settle practically instantly and cost little compared with traditional payment rails. But Ripple launched Ripple USD in late 2024, and the stablecoin’s practically zero volatility gives it a different use case inside the same network.

That overlap is the point. Ripple USD runs on the XRP Ledger, and transaction fees on that network must be paid in XRP tokens. So XRP still has fee demand attached to it, even as a U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin can handle more of the payment flow that once made XRP look more central.

Ripple Ledger in June

Ripple also introduced an upgrade to the XRP Ledger in June that fixed bugs and reduced memory consumption. The upgrade made processing transactions faster and cheaper than before, which improves the network but does not solve the bigger problem for XRP holders: the token was not designed to deliver steady returns, and it was not designed to be an investment at all.

The price history is hard to ignore. XRP first soared to over $3 per token in 2018, then bottomed at around $0.14 in 2020 after losing over 95% of its value. As of Oct. 26, it was down 64% from last year’s record high of $3.65 per token.

XRP holders face a narrow path

For investors, the message is blunt. XRP can still support transaction fees on the XRP Ledger, but if Ripple USD captures more payment volume, the token’s upside looks limited over the next 12 months. The exact price level behind that forecast is not shown in the provided text, and that leaves the direction of travel as the clearest takeaway: lower, not higher.
