Walmart stretched Black Friday sales to 14 days this season after announcing three holiday shopping events from Nov. 12 to Dec. 2. The longer schedule gives shoppers a wider buying window and gives Walmart+ members early access to specific deals during the two Black Friday sales events.
Walmart’s 14-day holiday schedule
14 days is the total length of Walmart’s 2026 holiday sales, up from 10 days in 2025, with the extra time split across three events. Early Black Friday deals run from Nov. 12 to Nov. 15, the core Black Friday sale runs from Nov. 23 to Nov. 29, and Cyber Monday runs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
10 days was Walmart’s total in 2025, when the retailer also used three events but kept the season shorter. This year’s longer calendar changes the timing for shoppers who wait for holiday markdowns, because the sale window now stretches from mid-November into early December instead of stopping after a shorter run.
Walmart+ early access window
Walmart+ members will get various levels of early access to specific deals during the two Black Friday sales events. That means the paid membership, which costs $100 a year, can put some deals in front of members before they open to everyone else.
$20 is the price point Walmart is using to frame part of the holiday assortment, saying thousands of gifts will be available below that mark. The retailer did not highlight specific products in the 2026 announcement, so shoppers can see the dates and the price floor but not the exact gift list yet.
Shoppers and Walmart face a tradeoff
Thousands of gifts below $20 should make the sale easier to scan for budget-conscious shoppers, but the missing product details leave them without the category-by-category roadmap that often decides where holiday money goes first. If the deals cover the right items, the longer schedule could spread demand across the season instead of forcing a single rush.
For shoppers, the practical move is simple: watch the Nov. 12 start date if the early Black Friday window matters, and keep the Nov. 23 to Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 blocks in view if a better deal appears later. The unanswered part is still the same one shoppers care about most — which specific gifts will actually make it into Walmart’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday events.
