Boston Globe Poll Shows 47 Percent on Question Three — What's On My Ballot 2026

A Boston Globe poll showed Massachusetts voters split on what's on my ballot 2026, with Question Three, Question Five and Question Seven all drawing close support and opposition. On Nantucket, residents can vote at Nantucket High School from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 3rd.

Question Three drew 47 percent support and 41 percent opposition in the poll. It would replace partisan primaries in Massachusetts with a single all-party primary, then send the top two finishers to the general election.

Question Five and Massachusetts

Question Five also landed inside a narrow range, with 40 percent backing it and 37.6 percent opposing it. The measure would reduce the maximum tax revenue Massachusetts can collect in a year, making the poll result a tighter read on voter appetite than the margin alone suggests.

Question Seven showed 41.2 percent support and 40.6 percent opposition. It would require cities and towns to allow single-family homes on residential lots of at least 5,000 square feet that have at least 50 feet of frontage and access to public sewer and water services.

Question Seven and Nantucket

The latest numbers matter because the most recent poll before the Boston Globe’s survey gave Question Seven a 44-point advantage. That kind of swing leaves the ballot measure far less secure than earlier polling suggested, even as the broader ballot still includes questions expected to draw stronger support.

For voters in Massachusetts, the immediate question is no longer whether these three measures are on the radar. It is whether the close split now seen on Question Three, Question Five and Question Seven holds through Election Day.
