Walker Scobell’s Percy Jackson season 3 trailer puts Annabeth in peril fast. Percy is racing to save her after the first full-length trailer debuted on Monday, and the season now points squarely toward the third-book storyline.
The trailer also lays out the scale of the season with the looming war between the Greek gods and the Titans. Percy will need all the help he can get to save the world from that clash, and Zeus drives the point home with, “Victory will require sacrifice.”
Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth
Leah Sava Jeffries’ Annabeth is captured by Luke’s forces and taken to the titan Atlas at an enemy stronghold in California. The trailer says she is forced to bear the weight of the sky in place of goddess Artemis or Luke, which turns the season’s rescue plot into a race against the Titan conflict rather than a simple missing-person search.
That setup pushes Percy beyond solo hero mode. The trailer says he may have to join forces with Thalia to recruit more help, and that is the pressure point built into the footage: Percy is not just reacting to a kidnapping, he is trying to assemble enough force to break an enemy hold before the war widens.
New gods in Percy Jackson
The trailer gives the first glimpse of Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite and Ming-Na Wen as Hera, while also showing new looks for Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Courtney B. Vance as Zeus, and Adam Copeland as Ares. Jennifer Beals joins as Demeter, and Hubert Smielecki joins as Apollo, which expands the divine roster before the season premiere.
Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie enter as Nico and Bianca di Angelo, widening the story beyond Percy and Annabeth. Talos, the giant bronze automaton prototype in the Junkyard of the Gods, also appears in the trailer, adding a monster element that fits the season’s move into the third book, The Titan's Curse.
November 20 on Disney+
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 premieres November 20 on Disney+. For viewers, the trailer does more than tease spectacle: it makes clear that the season is building a rescue mission around Annabeth, a larger war around the Titans, and a broader cast of gods and demigods than the series has shown before.
That is the right way to stage this book on screen. The trailer has already set the season’s stakes, and the real test now is whether Percy and Thalia can get to Annabeth before the Titan conflict swallows everything around them.
