The Board of Elections gives Where To Vote guidance for November 3

The Board of Elections told New Yorkers where to vote on November 3, directing them to FindMyPollsite.Vote.NYC as polls opened from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the general elections in NY. The reminder came on Tuesday, when voters were also urged to check their polling place before leaving home.

A total of 690,526 New Yorkers had already voted during early voting that ended on Sunday. Brooklyn led the five boroughs with 219,536 early voters, followed by Manhattan with 188,434, Queens with 162,914, El Bronx with 67,630 and Staten Island with 52,012.

The Board of Elections said the lookup tool is the way to locate a polling site before heading out. Vote.NYC".

That instruction matters because the polling place is not listed in the reminder itself. Voters need to use the site first, then go to the place assigned to them, rather than assuming a neighborhood site will work.

Election protection hotline

The New York Attorney General's office said a statewide election protection hotline is available to address and resolve problems tied to mail voting or in-person voting at polling places. It also said it has a FAQ guide covering absentee or mail voting, voter registration and difficulties that may come up at polling places.

For voters, the practical step is simple: check where to vote before leaving, then use the hotline if a mail ballot, registration issue or polling-place problem gets in the way on election day.
