Blizzard WoW Forever patch notes put World of Warcraft: Forever on a global launch path for November 4, bringing a new and reimagined Azeroth, new zones, and more than 1,000 new quests. The release is built as a permanent home alongside modern and Classic WoW, and first-time or returning players will move through a new login flow before they choose how they want to play.
Players who enter World of Warcraft: Forever on November 4 will start by selecting an Experience Preset, then a Ruleset. That ordering matters because the opening choice comes before the more detailed ruleset selection, shaping the full level 1–60 journey before a character steps into the world.
Azeroth on November 4
World of Warcraft: Forever is set after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core. It expands Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor with new and reimagined zones, including Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralas, the Riverglades, and Zephras Isle.
The Riverglades carries more than 150 new quests across much of the mid-30s to mid-40s experience, while Zephras Isle offers an elemental skybound starting experience from levels 1 through 12. That splits the leveling path into distinct stretches instead of a single uniform climb, with one zone built for early characters and another aimed at the middle of the journey.
Skyborne and class options
The Skyborne join the game as a new playable race. At character creation, Skyborne players choose whether their character joins the Horde or the Alliance, then branch into different class access based on that choice.
Horde-aligned Windshapers can become Shaman, while Alliance-aligned High-Order Skyborne can become Mages. World of Warcraft: Forever also adds Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests, and Dwarf Shamans, broadening the class mix available at launch.
World of Warcraft for the journey
The launch presents World of Warcraft: Forever as both a permanent version of World of Warcraft and a new rebuild of Azeroth at the same time. That means the rollout is not just a date on the calendar; it changes the first login, the leveling route, and the race-and-class choices waiting on the other side of November 4.
