Mark Reynolds sets Forco launch for January 2027

Mace Construct will be known as Forco when it launches its new brand in January 2027. The business will keep trading as Mace Construct until the New Year, then move to Forco as it sets out a new corporate strategy and productivity targets through 2030.

Mark Reynolds on Forco

Mark Reynolds, the executive chair, said the name reflects a company that has been changing in structure while keeping a single direction for its next phase. “For 35 years, Mace Construct, soon to be Forco, has been raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward,” he said.

He added: “Our new name represents our clear commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor, and its most productive by 2030.” The contractor also described Forco as “short, impactful and easy to pronounce.”

Mace Consult keeps Mace

The rebrand follows the split of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two separate businesses in March. Mace Consult will retain the Mace brand, while Mace Construct moves to Forco at launch.

That leaves clients dealing with a name change on one side of the business, but not a wholesale change in how the contractor says it will operate. Reynolds said: “Although our name and brand are changing, the qualities that have made Mace Construct one of the UK’s most respected contractors have not: our culture, our values and the people who have underpinned our success.”

Clients and delivery teams

He said clients can expect “the same teams, the same commitment to delivery, and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.” The practical shift is a new name and brand from January 2027, alongside a strategy built around productivity targets through 2030.

For clients and teams working with the business now, the immediate position is continuity until the New Year, then a formal transition to Forco. The detail to watch next is the strategy itself: how the company turns those productivity targets into day-to-day delivery will define the new brand more than the new name does.
