Jordan Venezio details 17-year-old critical Wreck in Kalispell

Kalispell Police Chief Jordan Venezio said police were dispatched around 10 a.m. Thursday to a wreck on Highway 93 Bypass near Three-Mile Drive in Kalispell. A 17-year-old girl was critically injured in the multi-vehicle crash and was taken to Logan Health.

Highway 93 Bypass response

Venezio said Kalispell Police, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office and the Kalispell Fire Department responded to the scene. The crash involved multiple vehicles, which set it apart from a single-car wreck because more than one driver and passenger can be part of the same chain of events.

Police said the girl remains in critical condition after the crash. No other injuries were described by police in the information released Thursday morning.

Logan Health and the investigation

After the response, the focus moved to Logan Health, where the teenager was transported for treatment. A teenager in critical condition is the clearest sign of the severity of the wreck, even before investigators sort out how it began.

Venezio said the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. For anyone traveling that stretch of Highway 93 Bypass, the immediate practical takeaway is that the scene has already drawn a police, fire and sheriff's office response, and the cause has not yet been explained.
